GSP fighting Anderson would be about like him fighting a bigger stronger BJ Penn IMO. I'd be willing to say Anderson is the better striker than BJ. Anderson is better than GSP in every aspect except for wrestling. The only way GSP wins is by boring LnP decision. We'll see how Silva fairs against Hendo and if he can hang with or beat Hendo, no way GSP wins this fight.

I am a huge fan of both of these guys and I honestly can't pick a firm winner. Both of these men have so many tools and are so dynamic that they may just cancel each other out. It can easily turn into one of those snoozers where one guy edges out a split or majority decision... but hell yeah I want to see it!!!!!!!!!

GSP comes in with great game plans and studies his opponent. GSP is good at finding his range and I think if Silva tried to clinch GSP Silva would end up on his back with GSP working his magic.
I am not saying GSP is so far above Silva, but I think he is a much smarter fighter. I also think Silva will come in cocky and GSP will come in ready and focused. GSP by TKO in the 2nd.
I am probably going to get slammed for my opinion, but it is my opinion. The truth is, everyone considers Anderson Silva to be the new Fedor (simply because he beat Franklin for the second time, in a less devestating fashion no less). Anderson is the king of the smallest division in MMA. I am not trying to discredit him. He is an AMAZING fighter.. but it doesn't change the fact that he rules over the least stacked division in MMA.
maybe he is a top ten P4P.. but is he #1? No.

i couldnt agree more. Silva is an unreal fighter but so is GSP. Anderson Silva is very cocky (rightfully so) but i think GSP is more well rounded and has more power. I think that silva is more accurate with his strikes but GSP has takedowns, thunderous kicks and a strong ground game, although silva 's ground game is not one to be taken lightly by any means. BOth are incredible fighters and this is very hard to call
GSP by TKO
