Like I said before, Dork.. this is the 2nd Dream Match to ever hit 100 posts. And I think it is about to be the only one to reach 200.

From what I have see of GSP, he isn't that great at BJJ. He can't do anything from his back and is only comfortable in top position, which is the primary difference between wrestling and BJJ.
I agree that if he had fought more BJJ fighters that it would be easier to gauge exactly how short he is of a good BJJ skillset.

Yeah He has never looked good from his back and doesn't really try to advance his position when he gets there.
But it would be interesting to see how much he could do when on top of anderson. I also don't see silva getting any stand-ups with gsp on top of him because i think gsp would do enough to avoid them and if he didnt silva would certainly stay active from guard.

gsp has some of the best ground and pound. he doesnt really needs to go for submissions as much because of it. hes only been put on his back twice, once by hughs and once by koscheck. and in there last fight hughs couldnt even take st pierre down. unless ur koscheck or hughs ur not even gonna have a chance to take down st pierre imo.
with that said i still wouldnt count gsp out for this fight. but id say the odds are in silvas favor. hes been crushing the opposition. but silva has never faced a wrestler like gsp before. franklin may be physically stronger then gsp, but gsp has way better wrestling and technique imo. his shots are explosive and powerful, where as franklin kinda trys to drag you down with his immense strengh. he doesnt really have the technical skill imo.
gsp would not be able to stand with silva. he would need to keep silva down every round which would be very difficult in a 5 round fight, assuming its a championship bout. any chance silva has on the feet is the possibility of him ending the fight. gsp has great standup but i dont think anyone has the standup and the chin to go toe to toe with anderson silva. [except maybe hendo]
anyone who hasnt seen anderson silva vs jorge rivera needs to watch it. its a good example of how much punishment anderson silva can take and not even be fazed by it.

Maybe a little off topic but i also think Fitch could take GSP down. Hes got pretty good takedown defense but i think Fitch could put him on his back.
