Wanderlai Silva vs. Houston Alexander
A lot of talk over who Houston Alexander should face next. Well, if they're not going to do Silva-Liddell, then why not have Wanderlai fight Alexander.
Alexander's 35 so they can't build him like they would Roger Huerta. It would be a great test for Alexander and a tremendous way to put Silva over to UFC fans.
They're arguably the two most brutal fighters in UFC history.

Putting Houston against Wanderlei would be bad for Houston who they are clearly trying to build up. Wanderlei is a better striker with a better clinch. I think Houston would get eaten.

Alexanders not getting any younger. Perfect welcome back to the UFC match. Probably end in the same fashion as his first UFC fight with Belfort ended (ouch!). Given the result of Alexanders last 2 fights and the track record of Pride-to-UFC wins lately, I can see Alexander putting Wandy away early.
That fight makes alot of sense to me. Alexander beats Wandy I think that would put Alexander in the title picture. They're both aggressive so I think this would be an awesome fight.

Actually, it would be dangerous for Wand. Houston is the truth and IMO would knock Wand the fuck out.

huston would be hurt by wandy...
huston loves the clinch and close brutal exchanges...and omg is that bad if he faces wandy...the second they clinch, huston will have knees breaking his face or brutal hooks breakling him down...i like huston so im not trying to bash him or anything but he beat jardine and sakara in the clinch...theres no way he beats wand in the clinch...wand would hurt huston with knees in the clinch cuz thats hustons only sweet spot...and if the fight took place anywhere else like standing exchanges or on the ground wandy has a huge advantage..

Wanderlei is the fighter Houston wants to be.
brutal punches on the inside, great control in the Thai clinch. i got Wand in this one, because while i think Houston is the new Baroni in terms of being the most dangerous 205 for a sudden HL reel KO, i will never count Wanderlei out, 2 KOs doesn't change the fact that its the Axe Murderer.

It could be bad for Wandy actually. Wandy is tough but Houston reminds me of a younger Wandy (but with tighter strikes). I love Wandy man but this could be bad for him. These are funny times but Houston seems more and more like the real deal.
Experience, rest and a new camp will prove dividends for Wandy when it comes time to fight. I think he will pull this one out but this is dangerous for Wandy.

If this happens think of Rampage laid out in the ropes after the fight with Wandy or Jardine laying in the doggystyle position after gettin KO'ed by Houston
That would be Houston if he doesn't improve his form

Definetly would be a brawl!I don't think houston's chin is that good,Jardine knocked him down in their fight as well as Sakara. But if houston lands a couple we could see wandy start back peddlin'!Wandy wins just from experience!

i dont think this fight is happening, not in wandys debut at least. i think the less thing the ufc needs right now is for any of these 2 guys to get KO'ed. And by the way this whole ufc vs pride thing is turning out I would doubt the ufc would make that fight, unless they really dont care if wandy becomes another former pride fighter whos not performing to the level his paycheck would suggest.
i think this fight will happen in wandys second fight in the octagon, and if i had to bet i'd go with alexander
