In all honesty, if there was a day for Fedor to lose, it was that day. Mirko was a man with fire in his eyes, ready to retire if he lost. Nothing to lose is very hard to beat.

I am not saying Fedor would have lost, but I am willing to believe Mirko could have taken him.

He had that look in his eyes like im gonna kick some white ass, but fedor is a smart fighter who if they fought could have probably changed the technique and brought a bulletproof gameplan to make mirko retire, and bare him the humiliation of losing to napao

Fedor knows how to beat Cro Cop. Gonzaga studied the fight, and that's how he knew how to beat Cro Cop. Couture would try the same thing, fighters just need to put more preparation into who their opponent actually is IMO. And fighters like Fedor, are so well rounded to begin with that they don't need to work on there striking, or grappling as much as their opponents, so they have more time to watch footage and come up with a good game plan. And then their training is based on their opponent, so they are more prepared for the fight. Fedor would beat Cro Cop again, probably finish him in the UFC where he could use elbows.

If he fought him in match 2, there would have been no time to study him.
