Default Hunt vs. Gonzaga

I think this could be the ultimate grappler vs striker match-up. Rather than being one-note fighters, neither guy is afraid to enter the other's domain.

I've been watching a lot of old K-1 fights, and Hunt fought as low as 250. The UFC needs to make him an offer! Even more than Fedor, I'd like to see Hunt in the octagon.

Hutn did great against Fedor, but if i remember correctly, Fedor had a toe/foot injury. not sure if that matters but regardless Hunt did great. Against Gonzaga he would probably lose if the fight goes to the ground.

but since he's one of my favs and im biased

Hunt via Decision or TKO in later rounds

i really haven't seen Gonzaga's chin tested.

I think Hunt takes this fight for sure, I think Hunt would have no problems what so ever taking anything that Gonzaga has to offer in the standup department and I think on the ground Hunt would be fine as well, I mean we're talking about the guy who had Fedor locked in a very tight submission hold. I think in a couple years, Hunt could be in the top three of best fighters in the world. I think he'd take this fight for sure.

Hunt could KO Gonzaga standing, but we haven't really seen his chin tested against a real good striker yet so who knows just how much punihsment he can take. Cro Cop never really let us see, he was to busy trying to twist his leg back into the right position.

But every guy Hunt has faced who has sick ground games, he's been sub'd by....I say Gonzaga gets a takedown somewhere towards the end of the second round and gets caught in an armbar.

Gonzaga would have no problem with Hunt standing or on the ground IMO. Ginzaga has much improved stand up, and is very underated(striking.)

If Hunt can keep it standing, GG is in trouble. GG doesn't kick as a hard as CC and wouldn't throw anything at Hunt that he couldn't take with a smile and laugh off. If it goes to the ground though.......GG wins by
Boston Crab or Camel Clutch!
