Shogun vs. Ryoto

i know this fight has been posted before but it was a while ago. and now this is rumored for ufc 75 or 76 with shogun eaither fighting ryoto or forrest griffen. shogun easily beats griffen, but machida actually has a chance. this fight sucks because i dont want to see eaither of them lose.but they are both top lhw's so it would probably happen eventually anyways.

I think Machida will do surprizing well on the feet, I see him landing a couple of his lightening fast kicks and just frustrating Rua standing, I think Machida will avoid most damage on the feet, but on the ground, I give a clear advantage to Rua, I think this will be an interesting matchup. The fact is Rua has faced top fighters, but he's never faced anyone quite like Machida before. You see Machida is just so unorthodox that he causes problems for everyone he's faced and I think he may just have the style to do the same to Rua. Shogun has an advantage on the ground and I think he can do enough to stall out a decision, but I think on the feet Machida's great counterstriking and his lightening quick kicks will be too much for Rua. I wouldn't be surprized to see Machida winning a decision. My official pick would be Shogun via decision though. I think he has the skills to take the fight down and once on the ground Machida will be too defensive to win a decision. This is a ver interesting matchup though.
