there's a lot of what ifs to this fight, if it's ever going to happen.
First of all, what organization would they fight under?
First, I'm curious to see if it's going to be at 185 or a catch-weight. I'd assume because Nick asked for the fight, he's ready to pack on the weight and go to MW. That being said, Diaz has great standup, but lacks power...I'm not sure if added muscle mass would give him more bang. It might also affect his handspeed, at the lighter weight, I feel he's quicker than Frank.
If it goes to the ground, it's anyone's game, so long as it doesn't go to decision. Frank will take Nick down repeatedly, as Nick doesn't resist take-downs, and UFC judges in particular, score takedowns way heavier than they should, so Nick is at a huge disadvantage.
As far as Nick getting TKO'd, he's only been TKO'd once, something like 5 years ago...Diaz can take stupid amounts of punishment, and keep looking for sub after sub. I'm not sure Frank has what it takes to put him out.
As far as Nick subbing Frank, I'm pretty sure Frank hasn't been subbed in something like 10 years, and has fought guys at Nick's level in BJJ.
I'd like to see Diaz win, and the weight, and what it does to him is a huge factor, but I see Shamrock getting a decision in a great fight.
