Default ..--WWE v MMA--.. Cena Vs Couture

I know that cena most likely cant fight but imagine that match up. Oh I would lay some cash down for that!
But we will never see WWE Vs MMA because all the big WWE guys are too heavy, But I will keep dreaming!

I don't think Randy could defend John's takedowns. However if Shawn Michaels ran in and gave Cena some sweet chin music, Randy could capitalize. End sarcasm.

Couture is a superior wrestler (a REAL wrestler) lol so how did u figure that?

Cena is athletic and a powerhouse.... that is about it.

I nearly fought my friends over this exact topic. Anyone who doesnt think Couture would pound him out and then submit him within the first 2 mins is a jackass. Just because you are jacked doesnt mean you can fight.

Yes Cena would get crushed in an MMA fight.

But their are some wrestlers who can, and have done well in MMA. Brock Lesnar instantly comes to mind. Over in Japan alot of professional wrestlers have made the transition to MMA and done pretty well.

In terms of MMA's ability in WWE you have Charlie Hass and Shelton Benjermin who are great collegiate wrestlers. Then you have Shad I believe who was in mixed martial arts before.

Its ludricous to think that all pro wrestlers would get smashed in MMA. I'm not saying anyone here has said that, I'm just saying don't think all professional wrestlers can't actually fight.

Haas and Benjamin can wreslte but they dont even have elementary submission defense. They would have the ability given the right training but you put them in the cage right now against someone with mediocre striking and a brown belt in JJ and they would be owned.

I would'nt be so quick to judge. We don't get to see much of their actual fighting ability in WWE. I think they'd be pretty surprising. I agree they'd defiantly need training, but what fighter doe'snt need to train? Look at Corey Hill from this season of the ultimate fighter. He was raw, untested, unmolded, but everyone saw the potential in him, and he picked up everything really quick. Now it looks like he's got a bright future ahead of him. I'd say the same thing could be done with Hass and Benjermin, especially considering the fact they probaly have more experience than Hill.

And look at the recent Brock Lesnar fight. It did'nt last long, but it was a good intro into his MMA career. Then you got people like Shad, who honestly surprised me. I had no idea this guy actually used to be a fighter. Also Kurt Angle, who while not in his prime, can defiantly be a contender.

I'm actually looking forward to seeing Kurt Angle in an MMA style match.

I'll admit I'm a novice to the world of MMA. I've only been watching it for a couple of years, and I still don't fully understand it, but I'd say that it seems to me that a few professional wrestlers would atleast have a chance in an MMA match.

Too bad Kurt Angle is a PROFESSIONAL WRESTLER, who will NEVER step foot inside of a ring or cage because he's all talk. Kurt is a dumbass, and I have all the respect for what used to be his real wrestling and pro wrestling ability but the man is slowly becoming washed up in a shitty promotion (TNA).

Also, don't come on an MMA bored with this stupid shit, Cena can neither fake fight or real fight. The only thing he's good at is injecting himself with steroids and acting like he's patriotic. Cena is a waste of space in pro wrestling and like was said before wouldn't last a minute with a real fighter his own weight. The man is a broomstick.

Whether you think pro wrestlers would be good fighters is fucking stupid because only a select few pro wrestlers will ever step foot inside a cage or ring and even win a match. Brock Lesner has all the potential to be good, but he fought a D level fighter at best which told us absolutely nothing about his MMA game other than he still remembers how to take someone down because of his collegiate wrestling background.

If I were you I'd go back to the wrestling forums because honestly you have no place here.

note: Shatter this wasn't entirely all directed at you and I didn't mean to neg rep you, I thought you were the OP...apologies.
