Hughes to this day falls into guilliontines like no other, it would be hard as hell to keep Sakuraba on his back, to defend submission attempts for so many rounds, Sakuraba is bigger then Hughes, Sakuraba is a better grappler then Hughes, he stays a lot more active, hes a friggin genius when it comes to fighting, he can take Hughes down I bet! Catch wrestling is a whole 'nother animal.. I mean no matter how good of a wrestler your facing.. style matters.. someone like Tito would have a hard time taking down someone whos a better wrestler then him because of his style.. but not Saku, he slips one punch and your on your ass.. simply put Matt Hughes doesnt have the sub D to defend against a bigger Sakuraba.. I dont think Hughes really was close to submitting Royce, he had a submission but I dont think it was in tight enough.. but I do believe that Saku would of sub'd Royce or put him in a lot more danger if Royce wasnt on the juice.

I'd take Sakuraba, hes bigger, he can wrestle and hes a good striker.
