Thing it though.
It most definatly sucks while your rolling with someone that outweighs you by alot or hell for that matter that out skills you by alot. But the good thing is that this is when you are learning the most in most cases.

Absolutely... I gotta do a better job of relaxing and concentrating on technique. I wasn't used to having someone so strong on me. It'll be cake rolling with strong guys my size after I roll with his huge ass.

Basically what I try to do when I'm outclassed and/or out sized, is focus on defense. Just try to last the whole time without tapping. If you do that eventually you will see things start to open up.
But then again, I haven't been doing BJJ very long, so maybe I should be doing somthing else.lol

That, my friend is why there are weight classes. Overall it's somewhat good to roll with him because it could potentially simulate a real-life encounter where someone might be much bigger than you. It's never a bad thing learning how to roll with everyone and their different shapes and sizes. Last huge wrestler I rolled with we started from standing, I took him down and ended up hurting his knee somehow. If you put them on their back and make them panic and use strictly strength and no technique, you will wear them down and get them in bad spots. My gym has tons of big guys, all of varying size....I usually stray away but occassionally I'll roll with one just so I get a feel for their tremedous size/weight advantage.

Definitely, thanks for the invite. Is that you in your av? I've only been training BJJ a few months, but i'd love to roll with D1 Wrestlers.

Yeah, you look like a big fucker. I don't mind rolling with bigger guys (the wrestler I was rolling w/ was 270 but not near as skilled as you guys), but when they have more experience on me that makes it shitty lol. I'm likin my boys' chances tomorrow, but i'm definitely not going to go up to OSU's wrestling team and start talking shit lol. I'm actually going to open up my own gym down here by Cincinnati within the next year and a half, and somebody with as much wrestling experience as you would be a great addition.
