I blame Monty Cox
I found it odd that the UFC would first list UFC 72 as being aired on Spike and now they are going to make it a ppv.
This is Franklin's first fight on his new contract. Part of his new deal is that he gets a ppv %. Well if he's fighting on Spike there isn't any ppv money. The UFC took a hit on the chin with their last show in the UK. I'm sure that Monty was able to use the change in opponent for Franklin as leverage to get Rich his PPV money, or Rich would reschedule his bout. And after taking the hit they did on the Manchester show Dana was probably an easy guy to convince to change.
Of course this is just speculation on my part and its just an idea.
