I think the UFC/PRIDE are doing just just fine because they have such a deep pool of fighters to work with now and with the sport being so popular new fighters are emerging all the time. They have already established many fighters as stars so i see no danger anytime soon if ever of MMA getting either boring or matches being repeated too much for ones liking.

I think with the level MMA has reached now it is safe to say it will be around in some capacity for a long long time to come. There are always hungry young stars coming up, and as the old ones retire new ones emerge.

Boxing is a SPORT that been around for AGES. Everyone thinks boxing is a sport. UFC is blowing up right now. But at the same time alot of people thinks is not a sport and like a street fight. So they need to do what ever they can to reach to people. You just never no what might happen. Plus like in anysport there's always a new breed coming up. You never no how long a fighters prime is going to be. And also MMA fights happen more than boxing becasue. Pro MMa guys dont get Paid alot like Pro Boxers.

in boxing they don't fight very often because they get punched in the head let's say an average of 120 punches per fight if it goes the distance in MMA you might not get punched in the head that many times in 10 fights. Boxing is more dangerous that is why they take such long breaks in between fights .IMO i wish UFC or Pride had an event every weekend though not all PPV cause who can afford that shit. I fight myself and I wouldn't want to take off more than 3 months at a time as I get older that might change. Actually I think all Champions should have to fight at least every 4 months. So my answer is no Boxing should learn from MMA
