when did Cung ever say that he was the best? hes an MMA noobie, and new MMA fighters dont fight the greatest, and he never said he was the best, or that he would be doing great things

and i guess because fighting K-1 fighters under sanshou rules, god forbid he should only compete in the sport he is in. its not his fault that the K-1 guys agreed to the fight. they signed the fight, knowing full well it was under a different rule set, and that Cung was a champ in this different sport.

thats like complaining that Ignashov is a pussy and a tool for fighting Arthur Williams under K-1 rules. he just fights, he doesnt force his rules on anyone

Cung Le did win the title in his respective sport in more than one division. He wasn't fighting cans. To be the man, you have to beat the man, and that he did.

As far as striking is concerned you can pretty much make a hell of an argument that Cung is better than most if not all, MMArtists in his respective division. Chuck Liddell doesn't come close to his speed, defense, and versitility IMO.

BTW, even Floyed Mayweather fought cans at first just to get used to the Pro atmosphere, so does every other boxer. The only reasons why some MMA fighters fight top notch comp. fairly quickly is because a lot of them are JuJitsu champions, NCAA world class wrestlers, Sambo and the like. For a person starting with little to no ground game initially would be making an extreme transition.

I think cung le can take glamrock. Franks wrestling is NOWHERE near the level needed to take down cung le. Franks striking is very good but I dont see it being better then cungs

I don't think I've ever heard someone say that Cung Le could beat ANYONE in his weight division. The buzz is all about how quickly and smoothly he's made the transition to MMA thus far. Look at all the hype surrounding Brock Lesnar. He hasn't had a single fight yet, but because of his skills in amateur wrestling, his MMA career creates a LOT of interest in fans' eyes.

I don't think Cung Le could beat the top guys in his division.....yet. He's nowhere near being in the league of Rich Franklin, Anderson Silva, Paulo Filho, Denis Kang, or Dan Henderson. Who knows what the future holds for him? I'm interested in his future, and his background. The "now" is just sort of a bridge between those things, and some bridges are shaky. Give him some time.
