And what's up w/ that 8 bit Trigg Smoogy? LOL
PM me some decent pictures of Trigg so I have some reference. His shorts and any other signature stuff (tattoos, gloves, leg accessories) should be pictured in addition to his face

IMO this is still only the second best card of the year, after the second coming. However, if they can get cro cop on this card against a decent opponent then it could get better then it

I dissagree because Herring was never going to be a title contender with Cro Cop in the UFC so there was no "direction" (if you will) in the first place.

I think they hyped him in the first fight which he had a torn MCL in and he put on a poor performance, during which Rogan basically buried him like a douchebag by putting him on blast on national television and the fight was heavily booed. The fight with Imes was setup in Herring's favor because Imes is inexperienced. If they thought what they saw against O'Briend was the extent of Herring then why not put him in against a wrestler?

Either way it's a bad move for them to get rid of Herring, he's still better than all fo the up and comers other than Vera but even then that fight can go either way.

This matchup is definitely one that was put together for Minotauro since he is familiar with Herring but it still a risky move by ZUFFA because Herring has KO power and the UFC ref's stop fights much earlier than PRIDE ref's and though Nog can take a beating like none other, there is still that chance Herring lands something that drops Nog and then Herring pounces on him for a stoppage.

I expect nothingless than them to clash in a war, should be a great fight and neither of those guys run from their opponents... Like Sylvia and the newly reborn AA.

He did run from Werdum, The entire fight. By the way you delivered your post you seem unsre of yourself... "he didn't run from Werdum and he damn sure didn't run from Cruz". You say it with conviction when regarding the Cruz fight but just say "he didn't run from Werdum", sorry, but yeah... he did. He looked like Cote in the Smith vs Cote fight.

Do you not remember the Vitor vs Wanderlei Silva flashback where Werdum hit AA and AA ran the entire width of the Octagon as Werdum continued to blast at him?

AA did this the whole fight, it was a much closer fight than Rogan was trying to convince everyone of. Scoring on a 10 point must system Werdum won round 1 by landing more strikes, round 2 was AA and round 3 could've gone either way. UFC judges are not supposed to judge on damage and that's exactly what they did, as well as bias.

It's as simple as this, the only time there was action in the fight was when Werdum engauged, otherwise they were just standing still ala Sylvia vs AA II and when Werdum did press the action AA would back pedal and retreat. There is a huge difference in moving out of the pocket like Cro Cop and Machida do so well. Letting their opponents punches miss them by inches because they are wizards at judging range on punches but AA dodging punches by feet and not inches is just ridiculous and considered running IMO.

AA's unwillingness to attack someone has proven to be a tiresome act, hence the booing crowd, and it will continue if he continues fighting like he has been.

Chuck is known as a counter puncher as well but he also attacks and throws combos together, AA throws a 1-2 combo but only as a counter and in his last 3 fights, an inside leg kick is the only offensive move he has mounted while on the attack and standing, that's it. Very exciting.

Dagreat1, I totally agree with you. AA ran from Werdum most of the fight. Yes he pushed the action for the most part, but he never held his ground.
A good striker would have stayed in the pocket and dropped him.

I like Werdum, but his striking was wild and pretty sloppy that fight. If AA was the striker some people are claiming him to be, I sure dont see it, and I definetly havent seen it since Sylvia 3 or before.

AA is not championship material. The talent is too deep for him now.
