were stating our opinions my friend, take em like a man don't turn shit around on us, i'm not making excuses, i figure ay he took the fight, obviously he thinks hes ready but it woulda been in his best interest to have a couple more under his belt in the ufc, if he loses then he loses, he wasn't the better fighter, but still i think he beats liddel period, a fights a fight no matter where its at and if he can fight in a ring, he can definatley fight in the cage but the atmosphere ufc gives you is a bigger rush than pride to him, he stated himself

Fair enough point.
However, I'll disagree on one thing - I don't "make fun of them" and I don't do it every time There's been plenty of folks jumping on the Rampage-was-rushed train, I've only challenged a couple of them on it.
I'll lay off...don't mean to totally attack this guy, just kind of irks me that on a fight so polarizing as this, folks can state their guy will beat ass but if he doesn't, they have a ready made excuse weeks in advance.

Well you cant expect the Rampage-was-rushed train to be empty! especially since he stated that he wanted a warmup fight, and didnt get it, it took time to realize that he changed his mind obviously cuz he agreed to the fight.. the Rampage-was-rushed train is pretty vacant right now if you havent noticed already.

Rampage wanted the more time because he wanted more fights in the cage.. but Rampage does have cage experience... He has had like 3 months to train in the cage and train for Chuck, and if you look at his training, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8aM92bOKJd8 , he is still training in the ring like Cro Cop did. So I don't see why he wanted more time to fight in the cage if, like Cro Cop foolishly did, he is training in the ring

Rampage is comfortable in a cage, I think he wanted to shake the nervous energy and just be in the right mindset for Chuck, but obviously he feels hes there. I think most people just wanted an explanation for why Rampage went from wanting a warmup fight to fighting Chuck.
but does anyone feel that after what Lindland did to Rampage in terms of wrestling, that Rampages win over him is more impressive? and maybe hes a better wrestler then his acheivements suggest?

I actually thought Lindland won the fight and got robbed.
I think Tune Up Fights are always, always, always lame. they might be in the interest of a particular fighter, but they aren't in the best interest of the sport.
I'd like to see better matchmaking from Silva in general, without any tune ups and with immediate rematches for close/controversial non-title fights.
I think Liddell/Jackson should be a great fight, and I hope both fighters come in healthy and that it's the LHW FOTY.

yes. seems like ther are a few who seem to forget lindland's a silver(?) medalist in the olympics for greco-roman wrestling....that says a lot about rampage's wrestling abilities, imo.

It was even imo - 1 round each and 1 pick-em round. I give Lindland more credit because of the weight disadvantage.
