As talented as BJ is....he does seem to gas out...I have noticed that his fighters on TUF are all saying that their conditioning is weak....could there be a link????

Default I've always thought it odd...

disclaimer: I'm new to the forum, and this might well be digging up a dead horse to give it a useless beating, but...

so BJ and GSP fought ostensibly, if not contractually, to see who is better for a shot at then-champ-Hughes, and GSP ekes out the split D.

Then Dana gave the first title shot to BJ, rather than GSP?

Did this raise anyone elses eyebrows? I can understand that BJ has a win over Matt, and going the Liddell route of avenging all previous defeats, but why even have Penn/GSP at all? don't get me wrong, it was a great, close fight, but isn't that obviously protecting your champion by having him fight #3 over #2 contender?

As much as I think he'll dominate at LW, I'd love to see BJ move up to 170 again.

Tee hee. GSP got injured and Penn replaced him. And matching up anyone with BJ Penn is the opposite of protecting them.

gsp was originally scheduled to fight hughes at ufc 63 but he got injured...ufc had to find someone to put in there with matt hughes that would still sell ppv's and who better then bj penn? and i think after bj fights jens he will move back up to ww

Default Why No Grabbing The Fence

I can't make a new thread, so I will ask here. Why do they not let the fighters grab the fence? I mean if they don't want that, then make the octagon plexiglass or something.
