Hughes is just too strong and he knows enough BJJ to be able to nullify anything Royce can do.
I don't know why everyone was surprised at how Hughes manhandled him.

I know Hughes is super strong for his weight, but thats why Gracie JJ was supposed to counter act bigger stronger oppents remember the Helio Gracie story.

He didn't dishonor anything. He lost to a younger, stronger, more ACTIVE, CHAMPION who was on top of his game.......AND HE DID IT WITH DIGNITY AND RESPECT, EVEN SHAKING OFF A HELL OF AN ARMLOCK. I say that's pretty honorable, personally.

I personally just think Royce overtrained. I don't think Hughes can beat him like that again.

Hughes overpowered a smaller Royce Gracie who was well past his prime, and had not fought in years how is this dishonoring?
Hughes had no submission, he just overpowered Gracie
