Maybe it is a genuine cultural difference...but it a difference Cro Cop is going to have to overcome. Though I'm obviously supportive of him as a fighter because of his skill level, I also want some access into his mental and physical preparation and readiness for his fights.
I think hearing fighters thoughts more vest fans ...or piss them off.

UFC understands the importance of personality. I think that was a major reason UFC thrived and Pride started to falter. If you know the fighter it gives you someone to root for, or against. All the major sports let you know their athletes, I see it as a vital part for MMA to continue to thrive.

You guys can take another look at Mirko's demeanor in my sig. I can't wait till tomorrow night. From some of the stuff Mirko says, he doesn't come across as such a great guy, but from the documentaries I have seen about him, he seems funny as hell and like an awesome guy.

I agree with CC, if I were in his shoes personally I would not wanna be doin no promos, press conferneces are fine, but I fine the pre-fight promos they show on the PPVs to be corny and I wouldnt wanna be doin them.

He should realise it's not just a sport, but a business. If hyping up events will help line his pockets even deeper, he should embrace it.

CC has never really cared about the money, you can tell by what he says, how he acts that he is about the fighting to him it is just a sport.

Didnt know he threatened to sit out of the OWGP cuz of money, but the way he talks about retirement and going back to Pride to fight Fedor, never occured that he cared that much about money to me.

He cares about money, he just doens't like doing hype stuff.
