A little disappointing
Just watching and going through the pics of the press conference, I just find it a little disapppointing that not one UFC fighter had any VT stuff on. I mean its not like they have to, but in my opinion it would have been nice to see. Like a hat, shirt, wristband something to at least show some kind of support for these kids. A lot of other people this week have been wearing VT stuff so thats why I thought of it when I saw the pictures.
Any other thoughts on this?

It is what is. I'm sure after the fights some fighters will have some nice things to say but keep in mind a lot of fighters are international so aren't in the loop as much.

Well you knew Cro Cop wasn't wearing it unless he was being paid for it. I am surprised none of the undercards had a VT hat or shirt.

I'm not really surprised. I don't think it's because ethey don't care, I just think it's because it didn't occur to them.

It would have been nice but there was only 1 American fighter on the main card.
Cro Cop, Gonzaga, Werdum, Bisping, Sinosic, Kongo, Silva, and Machida i'm not sure if any of them live in the States. AA and Heath would have been nice to see them with a show of support, it kind of surprised me Heath didn't. Maybe it's a sponsor conflict or some goofy shit.

Fighters weren't wearing 9/11 shirts back when it happened either.
I get what you mean, but it's just not something that is done. Maybe someone will say something about it after a fight.

Im not really sure about this, im sure the announcers might mention it, but the fighters have a lot on their minds already to prepare for their fight and it is their job in the end and i dont think that they should feel like they have to publicly express their sympathy in order to appear like the nice guy.

Yeah, you hit on my point... a lot of these guys are not even U.S. citizens. Its not like they are that close to the issue.
Of course you could say they COULD have extended themselves and made that "leap" but honestly, there are lots and lots of places in the world where mass murder or death is a little more routine. The ability to empathize has its limits.
I think its more important and appropriate for those who are most impacted and touched by an issue to tastefully and genuinely express their solidarity and support.

Werdum should've used it as political leverage in his campaign to tear Arlovski's arm off and gain fan support by the masses.
