That's what I mean, they could have shown him in action vs Big Nog, or his victory over Aleks. It just doesn't make sense to me. I know i'm gonna bet big if Werdum is gettin #'s with my book.

I don't think they had the rights to show the Aleks fight.
That was in the 2Hot2Handle Promotion, not Pride. |

yeah the highlight show was kinda disappointing. i mean we nothing but HL footage of Mirko. granted they did get a hold of his head kick KO of Wandy which was awesome! but no interviews 
then nothing but Bisping for a half an hour. i dunno about you guys, but Bisping gets more annoying every time i hear him speak. and the fact that Rogan said he ran right through Schafer like that...did he actually see the fight? until he gassed, he was dominating Bisping. i kinda hope Bisping loses but i doubt it.
then yeah no mention of Werdum at all. probably because they are trying to plan for the future again and think AA will run right through him. i love it when Dana's plans get messed up and that is what i see happening here as well.

I watched it, too. Aside from the Werdum thing, did anyone else notice that The Pit Bull wasn't really covered very much, if at all, in that hour-long show either? I mean the guy has been one of the most popular fighters in the UFC (champion, too, they must've forgotten) for some time now. Kind of dumb if you ask me. Both guys should feel kind of shunned by that show last night.

Yeah, Countdown wasen't an overview of the fighters at all (or at least, not a "fair" one). It was just a marketing campaign, really. Haha, it was almost like an infomercial...

I think Werdum wasn't mentioned because the show was taped a long while back, probably before he was set to be AA's opponent. They still had Forrest as Machida's opponent, and he backed out how many months ago?

Yea, this pissed me off too, I was over at my cousin's house, he watches MMA but doesn't follow it close, so when he asked who AA was fighing, I told him about Werdum and said that he would be on the show, we watched it and never even showed him WTF?
