If I remember correctly you were suggesting more of a collaboration between them, which in my opinion would go badly. Although that could have been a different thread that I am remembering

Yes, WWE/UFC colaborations = bad for the sport.

TUF was following wrestling of Spike and now TUF (or other UFC progaming) leads into wrestling on spike. and we all know what TUF has done for the sport.
how would Pride doing the same thing be bad? i am no wrestling fan. i hate wrestling. but its the right demo, and its already proven to be a good thing to have on before or after.
i am against wretlsing and mma cross promoting and all that. but sharing a time block is fine.
anyway this is about where pride should wind up on tv. so now that we know where you don't want to see it. where would you like it to go?

I think that was what he was saying a timeblock is good but intermingling is bad.

Does anyone think Dana (whom I thought was going to have no control over Pride) would really allow THE sports network, ESPN, to promote Pride over UFC? I think that would be a bit of a blow to his pride, no pun intended.

this is more along the lines of what I was talking about... wwe/pride cross-promotion is the last thing I want, believe me!

I like everyone else would love ESPN, but I'm gonna throw a network out there the CW/WGN Superstation. It's a big network, but obviously not as big as ESPN,NBC,USA,TNT. It covers local sports teams and has WWE on the network. It's main demographic is the teenage/young adult crowd with the programs they offer. They could replay older episodes whenever they want in syndication. I think having on a larger network is a pipe dream right now because of PRIDE's lack of exposure in the US.

If they had the chance they would and here is why. Even though Dana doesn't run it if it is owned by Zuffa then he owns 10% of it and getting them on ESPN would prevent one of the UFC's actual competitors from getting on the station.

ESPN2 would be a great way for Disney to see how well it will do fore them. They can try to revamp ESPN2 in to a money maker again and put it with something like The Worlds Strongest Man comps. Make the channel more up to date. It would definitely be better than watching Bowling or Ping Pong....Umph sorry I mean Table tennis.
