Lindland Wants Rematch
A couple different sites are posting on this quoting Lindland wanting a rematch. A lot of it has to do with Fedor holding the ropes and the controversy that has sparked because of it. He doesnt know if the outcome would be any different but still wants the rematch. MMAWeekly has an interview onthis but you have tobe a member to listen to it so if anyone is then please post on it. I did find some other details from another site with Lindland speaking on the rope grabbing....

Fedor Emelianenko turned in another strong performance Saturday night at BodogFight's Clash of the Nations show, but this time he needed some help.
Underdog Matt Lindland took the fight to Fedor from the opening bell and opened up a cut over Fedor's right eye with his first punch of the bout. Lindland then wrestled the bigger man into the ropes, lifted the 240-pounder off the ground for a slam, only to see Fedor grab the top rope to thwart the move - not once, but twice.
That move gave the bloodied Russian the position he needed to reverse the move to take Lindland down. Fedor maneuvered for an armbar and it was early evening for Lindland, who after tapping out, was visibly upset with how Fedor used the ropes to save himself from the takedown.
"I absolutely, absolutely would like a rematch," said Lindland, who heard his elbow snap from the armbar. "I'm not saying the outcome would have been any different, but that's a much different fight if the referee does what he's supposed to, and I wind up on top and am able to utilize my skills there."
The referee did shout to Fedor to stop using the ropes, but he should have intervened and halted the action to reset the fighters.
Fedor, fighting for the first time in front of his compatriots in St. Petersburg, Russia, is now 26-1, while Lindland, in the ring as a heavyweight for the first time, fell to 20-5.

I saw the clips of Lindland doing illegal moves as well whether they were intentional or not so both Lindland and Fedor were not perfect in their match. Regardless I still do not see this match going any other way other than in favor of Fedor.

Same outcome. What part of a first round submission qualifies Lindland for an immediate rematch? Make Matt fight some HW's and earn it like anyone else. Hell, make him fight Henderson. Then we'll see what he's made of.

Yeah, I think I'm officially put Lindland in my overrated category. He relally hasn't beat anyone "Elite". IMO the only fighters close to that level that he has beaten are Salaverry and Miletich.

I say give him the fight so he would shut up about this for good. Let Fedor pound his face into a cherry pie.

If that would even shut him up. I think a fight with Henderson or a lesser HW who would beat his brains in would shut him up faster. Put him in with Barnett. LOL that would be hilarious.

He sub'd leopoldo and Travis Lutter, he beat Baroni when Baroni was worth a damn (I think Baroni is gettin back on that track though), Lindland is good.. hell great, hes a very soar loser though.. I remember the Rampage fight, didnt give Rampage any respect at all just went on about how he thought he won the fight.
