Funny story I heard about Gary Goodridge
ok I heard this story a couple of months ago when I was in a cab getting a ride to see Pride's 1st USA show, I think it's still relevant now. Anyways my buddy and I were headed up to my boss' house to watch The Real Deal, we were taking a cabbie, and we got to talking to the guy, he asked us what we were doing that night and we told him we were going to watch Pride, he asked what that was, and we explained it was kinda like UFC but in a ring blah blah blah, and he got to tellin us this story about when he was up at some bar in Barrie Ontario (home of Gary Goodridge), and there was this girl there that seemed a little drunk, and apparently she was all over him, so he was playing along, you know having a little fun. Then she goes to use the pay phone, and he asks this guy sitting beside him, hey what's up with this girl? And the guy tells him oh she likes to pick up guys and then call her boyfriend down to beat them up, so cabbys like ohh shit, then the guy says, oh and her boyfriends an ultimate fighter named Gary Goodridge. Cabbie ran his ass outta there so damn fast, and he says he's never going to Barrie again, anyways I thought that was a funny story.

I dont think it was a lie cabbie didn't really know UFC and he didn't remeber the fighters name. I knew Goodridge lived in Barrie so I mentioned his name and a light light up above buddys head and he remembered. and I have a decent judge of when people are lying to me (at least face to face the internets a different story haha).

What's funny is how did the cabbie know that the guy sitting next to him wasn't just fucking with him about Goodrige coming to kick his ass.

Gary has quite the reputation around here for being a dick in the bars!!!
Shayne Corson, for any hockey fans out there, used to be a pretty tough NHL'er, he's from Barrie too.......apparently Gary and Shayne had a few scraps in the local establishments over the years.....
