Obviously they moved this fight to avoid the embarassment of a title fight not being at least a co-feature. Silva vs. Marquardt will be the main event and Ortiz vs. Evans will be the co-feature.
P.S. MMAWeekly has Couture vs. CroCop/Gonzaga as the main event for UFC74, but I'd bet Serra vs. Hughes happens first.

Wow! This is a shock to me! I just met Sherk at a smaller MMA venue last night and he said he was fighting on the 73 card. Gurgel was also there and they brought them both in the cage and said they would be on the same card. Kinda funny how all this can change in a days time......

One of the cards for the summer is going to be stack. Maybe Dana might go out on a limb and put 3 title matches on one card wait nope that wont happen. It was worth the thought.

well i hope they have a good reason for this, cuz if they dont then Sherk is what id call a "bullshit champion"...by august it will have been 10 months since he won the title in the first place, almost a whole year. what the hell? if that's the case, i hope Franca stomps him!!!

Yeah this sucks, Hermes is one of the more entertaining fighters. I don't see him being able to beat Sherk though. Does anybody know why this was pushed back? I think Sherk will be as good a LW as there is in MMA but he does have to defend his belt.
