I don't think that they will have season 7 be at 170.

I do think karo would make a good coach. and if rampage is a coach thats just good tv, as i've said before.

i doubt that they bring in a pride fighters as coaches, although there are many quality qualified guys. i think pride will get its own tv deal and will have their own reality show.

karo, rampage, salavarry, couture, cro cop, anderson silva, would all make for good/intersting coaches.

maybe they will do a team usa/canada vs a team world/barzil/japan/russia (maybe to ifl, but it could ba an angle) and by having world based teams for a tuf series the can leason any language issues. well other then stupid people who can't handle subtitles.

anyway shouldn't this thread be in the tuf thread?

I wouldn't be surprised in the least if the rumors of having 16 welterweights is indeed true. You have to look past where they need talent. Smaller guys are quicker and more exciting to watch. Quicker and more exciting leads to...higher ratings! That is what it is all about, who cares if the division is already deep, Zuffa wants to make their pockets deeper. I can't blame them, because season two with the HWs was by far my least favorite seaon, followed closely by the "Comeback". Seeing young, exciting, exuberant WW who will go balls to the walls is more exciting to me than plodding 250 pounders who will lay on each other and throw jabs all day.

Not to mention that their is a much bigger talent pool to choose from at 170 because it is closer to many's natural size and weight. I'm sure it will be an exciting season if this goes down and they get entertaining coaches. Karo has to be one, I would love to see him judo throw all those punks.

Yeah the bigger weights just end up making for bad TV. They are better off sticking to the lower weights and getting people interested in the sport. If they find any talented 205/HW guys they need to just go ahead and put them in undercard matches now.
