I am afraid of the novelty factor. I just can't see the fans dealing with it in a respectful way on the professional level. Hell, they boo now anytime there isn't a picture perfect KO. Imagine the fans when 2 girls stand up and circle for 3 rounds.
You've seen shows in Japan where the crowd doesn't boo, you've seen shows in US where they boo. I can see how you might conclude that people only boo in the US, close but not quite... Only a Japanese crowd will not boo.

I don't know why, but I always get this weird feeling watching girls fight in MMA. It kind of makes me cringe.
I give them all the credit in the world for getting in there, but at the same time I'm not too crazy about watching women beat each others brains in. But if that's what they want to do I don't think anyone should stop them. I just think I'd rather not watch it.

And it can be look so negative to the views of the public (especially people like bill o'reilly) that could watch it, that can create a lot of hars critism again for MMA...like what happen in the 90's where the times that mma sport is always misunderstood.
