Is UFC 70 free in Canada??

It says Spike TV next to U.S. and Canada and below it says a few countries that will have it on PPV in that link, so i think it is free in Canada.

Spike TV has a history of blocking content to Canada ex. When WWE Raw was on Spike there would be re-runs of various shows during that time slot and we'd be forced to watch it on TSN. The same was for the Godfather movies not blacked out but re-runs of various shows in it's place.

Good point. Fight Club has been on spiketv a shit load of times, but never on spiketv in Canada.

Yeah, I mentioned that earlier with James Bond movies. They have a history of blacking content out.

The only way we'll know is to look at the TV listings a day or two before, I guess.

The reason they blocked out WWE is that TSN had the exclusive rights to it for years because it used to be on the USA network, which Canada didn't get.

They were forced to block it out by TSN, not because they wanted to.

However, that doesn't mean for sure we'll be getting this event. As has already been mentioned, if you go to the ufc70 website, click on 'watch the even't, then click on 'canada', you'll see it doesn't say Spike TV, but rather PPV.

So things don't look so hot for us. Unless we get the option to get it live on PPV and then watch the reply on Spike, but I dunno about that.

It'll be total fucking bullshit. I live 30 minutes away from the border. But I have relatives in the states so I'll try to get them to tape it.

As it was mentioned earlier if you get onto some torrent sites you can download it and watch it by next day. As far as Spike in Canada, i'm right on the U.S. border and i might as well be in the Yukon as far as programming is concerned.
