Well it was stated several times in various places.
Here u go ....

Why Leave PRIDE?
Robert Rousseau of ExtremeSports.com has offered his own speculation as to why Emelianenko might want to leave PRIDE.
"Fedor Emelianenko was born in Luhansk, Ukraine and currently lives in Stary Oskol, Russia. Along with this, his homeland is very important to him. Important enough, in fact, to make sure that there was a clause in his PRIDE contract that would allow him to fight in his homeland of Russia, regardless of the organization putting on the show."
But what was billed in the press as a "one fight deal" is looking more and more like something entirely different. Fedor only has one fight left on his PRIDE contract.
"Fedor Emelianenko is no fool; and it's likely that his agent isn't, either. To lose their current heavyweight champion to an upstart mixed martial art organization would be a major blow to PRIDE," remarks Rousseau.
PRIDE has already shunned the Bodog organization, forcing fighters to remove any items that display the Bodog logo when appearing at events.
Bodog has also indicated that they are willing to pay their fighters top dollar.

Thanks. It'll be interesting to see how Zuffa uses that one fight to try and strongarm Fedor.

This is where I have to disagree, I think both could get by just fine without each other and if anything Fedor needs Zuffa a little more. Zuffa has all the top name fighters right now under their contract, where as Bodog has Eric Pele... yea. If Fedor wants some real fights instead of fightng overrated MWs and really out of shape HW then he is gonna have to sign with Zuffa. But if he doesn't his life will go on just fine. So will Zuffa because they can live without him too, remember they still have Cro-Cop, Big Nog, AA, and Werdum.

If his demands are not met, he will likely be content with Bodog. He is making a fortune and his fights are far less likely to result in injury.
Also Bodog has Aleks, he and Fedor or not on the best of terms right now so I'm sure something can be worked out and they will fight eachother.
Barnett is also an option as he is unsure of his future in PRIDE.

Oh boy Banda, I can confirm this but it would be a heck of a challenge to find a source for you because it was months ago. If I remember correctly it was directly from Fedor too.
I hope Fedor gets his non-exclusive contract. There is a part of me that likes to see someone stand up to the bully down the block. The non-exlusive contracts UFC insists on is about control. They can punish their fighters if they don't tow the party line. I don't like that they can keep a guy from earning a living.

Its only their top tier fighters that they want exclusive contracts with and I don't blame them. To say they are keeping those guys from earning a living is ridiculous. CC made 350,000 in his first fight with the UFC. That is worth an exclusive contract. he has 6 fights on his contract @ 350k per that's 2.1 mill in about a year if he fights the schedule he wants to fight. I would have to say that is a pretty decent living even if it takes two years to get those 6 fights.
Have to say Fedor will command an even bigger payday.

Cro Cop will fight 3 times per year maximum just like every ZUFFA fighter does.
Though they are makign a lot of money, we do not know their financial situations, they maybe making large purchases via a home or homes, vehicle(s), furnishing their home (which is typically 10% of the cost of your home) and plus they are probabaly feeding their entre family meaning kicking down what they can to their relatives so they are not living it up like the huge names in Boxing that get paid $10 million - $20 million per fight and if they were simply cut-off right now their lifestyles would have to change and the responsible party for that would be ZUFFA.
I'm with Boo, I don't like them trying to hold a fighters life in the balance.
