I don't know why he said the thread was stupid, I thought it was a damn good idea so don't hesitate to make more threads. We're on page 7 so obviously it got people posting.

That's a good one.... i'd have to go with the fans because they insist on him being better than GSP and Hughes (not saying he isn't better than Hughes but he's not undeniably better).
The haters bring up the fact that he hasn't won in 3 years an awful lot, not thinking about the opponents he faced in those 3 years.
So i'd have to go with the BJ fans on this one Afro.

I would have to agree and say the lovers and here is why. When ever Penn loses there is always some excuse such as a possible injury against Hughes or he ran out of gas against St Pierre. I know the cardio it takes to complete must be hard to obtain. But that is why he gets paid to be a professional fighter. Bj Penn is one of the most talented fighters to ever enter a ring or cage, the problem is some of his fans can never just admit that he was not the better man on a certain night. I myself am a huge Matt Hughes fan. When he fought St Pierre the second time he was simply outclassed. Would that happen every time he fought George? I don't know? Would Hughes try the same fight plan I hope not. But the fact of the matter is Hughes didn't give excuses he just said George beat him, Hell Hughes didn't even know it was a left high kick that took him to the mat. I also know this, I know as a fighter you have to believe you are the best, you have to have some arrogance but Penn seems to take it to extreme. This was further cemented by his display on TUF 5 when he asked fighters to raise their hands. It showed a lack of class on his part and while Pulver will more than likely lose I would love to see him pull off the upset. Joe Stevenson could have railroaded Guillard after tapping him out in the fiirst minute on Thurs night. Instead he took the high road and said It could have ended just as quick the other way because Melvin is so explosive. To me that was a breath of fresh air. "When you lose say little, when you win say even less" Of course that is my opinion I could be wrong.
