Royce vs Hughes question.
I was waching unleashed the other night and finally saw Hughes vs Royce Gracie. I thought Royce looked out of shape and looked like he was too old to be fighting elite fighters. I was wondering since Hughes dominated Royce so easily that if they both fought in their primes do you believe it would be a different fight? I know this old but I would like to know your opinions.

The only man to actually defeat Royce was Sakuraba, and arguably Ken
I say yes, Royce wins in his prime

I don't know if a prime Royce could beat a prime Hughes. My question is would Royce be able to take Hughes down? Hughes would be the first fighter he fought with a very good wrestling background. I think Hughes could possibly outstrike Royce (it would be one of the sloppiest matches ever). If the fight did get on the ground then I say Royce would submit Hughes. But I just don't know if Royce could take Hughes down.

What about Dan Severn and Ken Shamrock?
Matt Hughes is probably a better wrestler then Ken, but Ken was hard to takedown and Royce still managed to beat him once, pull out a draw in the second fight hes also beaten Dan Severn.. so I just dont think Matts strength advantage will matter much, and I wonder if Royce cant bring the fight to the ground and submit Matt cuz he did it to Ken and Severn at higher weights
Matt might be a smarter fighter then both though

i still think hughes would win, gracie out of his prime still has the same jui jitsu as gracie in his prime, he still has the same tools just a little bit more out of shape
