Jeff Monson to fight for Pride?

This is from Monson's blog on his personal site.

This morning i found out the Bodog fight wil not be happening now, but im set to fight in Japan for the Pride show on the 30th March against Kazuyuki Fujita. Its been crazy this last couple of weeks with all the changes, but this is a definate go ahead now. sorry for all the confusion. Im still in England now training down at Red Corner doing stand up, and hopefully with Braulio Estima some time this week for my grappling. My training is going good and im in fairly good shape now. thanks to everyone for the support.
The pride show will more than likely be shown on pay per view in the States but ill find out for sure and let you know when i know.

Good for him. I like watching him fight...I especially like watching him shove Hinkle all around the cage before choking him unconcious.

Someone should tell Monson that the event is on April 7th so he doesn't show up a week early. In all seriousness though it should be a good fight. Solid signing for PRIDE. Monson and Fujita is an interesting match up. I don't know who I'd really pick in this one.

man Pride is puttin together some damn good grappling matches

but what show on March 30th? Monson must be on the ganja again

So who will Hunt be fighting?

Im hopin they do Zulu vs Butterbean.. its not a damn freakshow match it should be a good showcase of striking but who the hell will Hunt fight? lol

Fujita should be able to keep it standing and probably get a TKO win.

Maybe he got confused and said when he would be arriving in Japan.

I think Hunt will be fighting the Bean. That was a fight that was supposed to happen at PRIDE 32, but Hunt couldn't get his visa. If not, then maybe they will match him up with Sergei. He's rumored to be facing Gilbert Yvel at this point, but nothing is official yet.

Hunt vs Bean would still be a damn good fight, it be like a boxing match with 4 oz gloves

I'm not sure I would be able to hold back some laughter during that match. I'll go on record as taking Hunt in that one, I think he's got the advantage especially if it goes to the ground though I'm not sure I want to know what Butterbean looks like trying to pull a high guard on someone.

Monso was refering to the now canceled 4/30 show Pride 35 which was to be held here in the states. so if he fights for Pride it probably won't be until may. although knowing pride they could call him a week before the april 7th show to conferm him being there. Pride really loves finalizing their cards like 3 days before they happen.
