UFC 72 - Anderson Silva vs Nathan Marquardt Confirmed
Source: www.portaldovt.com.br
The manager of Anderson Silva just confirmed Silva will face Marquardt in UFC 72, July 7th.
— Anderson is recovering from a knee injury and will train for about 3 months for this fight. He will train a lot of ground because we know what Nathan wants.

Should be an interesting fight. You'd think Dana would've wanted to give Nate the Great some exposure on tv or a ppv event so people will actually know who this guy is that is challenging for the MW belt.

Title shot deserved, I don't think Silva will have too much trouble with "the Great"

he tried. Spike turned down all ideas and made nate fight on undercards cuz he had one boring fight, which sucks but o well he gets his title shot. IMO he has a great style to beat silva and has all the tools, but ill see if he can do it

I think Nate's gotta decent chance, but Silva definitely isn't gonna get mauled. I'll say Silva by KO in Round 2

A lot of people don't even know who Nate is. I hope they have some "Inside" shows or whatever so people can put a face to the name. The guy won his last 4 fights, but I guarantee the casual fan will be saying "Who?" once they hear about this.
