Tim has held the hw belt for awhile now, the other night if he had won would have been a record for title defenses. the UFC really loves rematches and rubbermatches. with tim's long standing holding of the belt. when will zuffa give him another shot at the belt? will he get the next fight after randy fights winner of gonzaga/crocop? if hughes and franklin are going to challange for their old belts again surely they have to give tim an equal chance.
I don't think alotta PPL would wanna C a rematch & From Dana's View he wants 2 make the Most money outta Every Fight. Who knows maybe Tim's Next fight will be against Vera.
The last thing they want is Tim with the belt back. They can't sell PPV's with him as the headliner. So I see him having to win a fight before they give him a rematch and it will probably be against the winner of AA-Werdum, unless they sign someone else which would mix things up some.
i dnt think tim will fight for the belt as long as randy is the champ, tim is now kind of a boring fighter i know he lost his last fight but 3/3 fights have gone 25 minutes
I really think Tim should take on Vera now. 1) Dana doesn't want Tim anywhere near the title picture so his next fight will be a tough one. 2) If Vera beats Tim his contract will be finished and then he'll have the option to stay or leave. Beating Tim means he's immediately in the title picture and that may encourage him to stay and sign a new contract.
He can stay at home and sell crap on Ebay or run his website for all I care. Maybe he can be the spokesperson for Depends? Maybe he can go back on Blind Date? I don't know, but his future isn't in MMA unless he goes back on the juice.
