Randy's striking has improved astoundingly. His head movement and combinations impressed the hell out of me but he's not at Crocop's level of striking and like I said it only takes one solid punch/kick from Crocop to land clean to drop you. I just can't see Randy getting Crocop down every time it is on the feet without eating one of those punches eventually.

Also leg kicks are going to be an interesting issue because Mirko can slow you down fast with a couple of leg kicks but they will also open him up for a takedown.

Oh I'm not using it as an excuse. A loss is a loss, especially a decisive one like a knockout. I'm saying more of then Randy now is better than the Randy of a year ago (which we could see especially in his striking).

Randy has special powers. He is Captain America and can beat any1 in MMA in any fight if he brings his best-including Fedor & Crocop.

I dont think anyone is hating on Randy, there are very few that do not like Randy. We are just actually making intelligent, non ignorant posts that would come from someone knowledgable in MMA.

Nothing wrong with liking a fighter more such as Tim Sylvia in your case or even Randy. But it is when ridiculous non intelligent posts are made that take credit away from you as an knowledgable mma fan. Randy will not just lie down for Cro Cop but the claims you are making as to why Randy will beat Cro Cop are absurd. The same goes for your backing of Tim Sylvia.

That's why I said they will be interesting in this fight. If Randy can catch sweeps/takedowns/throws off of them then he will be able to use them to his advantage. If not, he'll end up in a position like Yoshida was where you start slowing down and then start eating more of them.

On a side note I'm far from a Randy Hater. Hell I'm a Randy mark. I get nervous when he fights because I don't want to see him lose. I just don't see this being a fight in Randy's favor. He can win but he's definitely the underdog.

I like Randy's chances against just about anyone, except CroCop and Fedor. I think the 2nd Randleman fight, the Coleman fight, and the Barnett fights all prove that he can handle wrestlers pretty well. Come on. Randy can be hit pretty easily and Mirko and Fedor hit quite a bit heavier than even Chuck. You can't seriously believe what you are saying.

And you think Tim could beat either of these guys? Hell, Semmy Schilt is taller and hits harder than Tim.
