Then Gonzaga fights Couture? Or maybe they then would set up the winner of Werdum vs Arlovski fights Couture if that happens. It would be very interesting. With that said, I don't think Gonzaga has a chance in hell. He's fought nothing but scrubs in the UFC, and although he has a pretty good ground game, Cro cop has fought guys with better a ground game. We'll see though.

Yeh i dont think anybody can beat Couture other than Fedor because of just the talent wise in the hw division. Unless Crocop can improve his speed recovery then were probably all doomed. Great fight cant wait for it but I say Randy by decision.

I think that Coutures best weapon is the fact that he STUDIES his opponent, and fights stratigically. Crocop footage is readily available, and his weaknesses are documented on film. KR beat the smoke out of Crocop, because Mirko wasn't expecting it. Nobody was! Mirko lets his guard down, which is the difference between him and fed! Fed never lets his guard down as far as I know(well arguably against fujita, who's a thunk it). Coutures biggest strength has always been, calculating and exploiting a opponents weakness. this is entirely possible regarding Crocop if history is any indication, but it bit isnt exactly reliable. After Randy beat Tim, I doubt that Crocop will be unprepared.

I am a huge Randy Couture fan, but some people are just delusional by saying that Couture will dominate CroCop. Some people have been hangin out with Nick Diaz too long...

its funny though, the variation on their strategy has changed

normally, if its a hotly disputed contest between a loved fighter, and a hated one, they claim crazy shit about the beloved fighter, and say that the guy everyone hates is the shit

but all they do now is put love on Captain America, which nobody has any beef with. they dont even bother making TIM WAS INJURED threads, because nobody gives a shit

Well it's not a standup fight first of all. This is MMA and Chuck beat (not owned you troll) twice because he is such a well rounded fighter he was able to keep the fight up because of his wrestling skills. Chuck vs. Randy and Randy vs. Crocop aint the same thing.

Second, of course Randy has a chance. Crocop will of course most likely win by KO, but Randy's skills match up good against Crocop's on the ground. If he can get Crocop down who knows how it will turn out.

No offense bro, but a Tim excuse thread would would be a troll move!
Mabey Tim did have a injury of some other type of excuse, but measured against the fact that Randy never claimes an excuse in any of his losses, it reaks of childishness.

I don't think Randy is the ultimate or only greatest MMA fighter in the game, but I have a drawer load of respect for him. Especially for and specifically regarding this topic after he explained in interviews that most MMA fighters he has traned with (including a Sh@tload of champions) are often forced to show up at fight time with an injury or two because of the intense level of MMA training to compete at the level of modern MMA athletes!
This is an infanately more respectable work ethic than a twit like Tito who will refuse to defend his title because he has to get ready to act in a some trashy action movie role (Crow 5?, I've still never seen it. I've seen Goodridge in more movies that Tito).

Tim is a GREAT fighter! I think he is also very underestimated and is a decent bet against cop! But if I hear another champ piss out an excuse after a loss (let alone another Braz), I think I'm gonna DIE!
