I didn't mean lose interest in MMA or in competing. I mean that he's at his very best when he's an underdog, which he has readily admitted many times. But historically he hasn't been as succesful at holding onto the top position after hes gained it. Reaching the top, and staying at the top are sometimes two very different states of mind. Randy is suprisingly adept at the former, but not as reliable at the latter.

Mabey he will beat crocop, I never said and would never say that he couldn't. But I would not be suprised, and I strongly suspect that he hasn't changed, and he won't be holding onto his "new toy" for very long.

I think it will be a good fight, i dont think Randy can definately give him a run for his money and after dismantling sylvia like that who knows, maybe he can beat him. i wouldnt count him out before the fight. and not many people were picking randy to win and the ones that were probably did it out of spite for tim sylvia

I understand the whole wrestling standpoint but the only other guy who has pushed Mirko as much as randy will is fedor if Randy can be at least half that agressive then he has a slim chance. Fedor is a machine but Randy is a lesser oiled machine. Still able to go five and not be breathing hard but not is as god as shape as fedor or well rounded. This pretty much comes down to can couture keep away fomr the striking but yet get close enough to take him down. Anwser .....maybe i will never doubt him the ONLY person I give him no chance against right now is Fedor. i think he could beat chuck if chuck moved up to heavyweight but thats for the other topic im heading to when i get done here. Randy is UFC'S version of Fedor strong tough well rounded extremely popular and has great skills in every facet of the game. but I believe Mirko will beat him after he faces Gonxaga and runs through him. but who will be Randy's first title Defense will they move somebody up to fight him or what im not sure but im looking forward to where UFC goes from here. Cro Cop by Tko(strikes) 4th round Randy will keep him aty bay for that long at least.

I won't count Randy out again, but CroCop is a much better fighter than Sylvia.

I think that Tim didn't really want to win because he did't want to be a CRO COP highlight reel. I do like Randy but CC is a beast but anything can happen I say Randy has a better chance with CC then Tim ever did.

Now I'm agreeing with this .

Don't forget Couture style would offer a far more compelling fight with Mirko than Sylvia .

Also one thing Couture has and it's THE factor to get before fighting Cro Cop

Filipovic fears NO ONE (certainly NOT Fedor HE WANTS The Rematch !) and Captain America has confessed after his title win he came back from retirement BECAUSE OF CRO COP !

Mirko was his MAIN reason to come back !
