You really think Crocop could have won a Division I NCAA Championship and and could have been an alternate on three different olympic teams? Don't be an idiot. I'm sure he can roll but if it goes to the ground Randy will own him. I like Crocop too, but I'm not going to suck his dick and pretend he is better then he really is. He's the best striker in MMA and besides that he good takedown D, but to say he is a billion times better then what people think indicates that you are talking out your ass rather then stating facts.

Randy is gonna do what he always does, he's gonna get inside, slam CroCop against the cage, take him down, and pound on him until the fight ends, or is stopped. OR Cro cop will do what he always does, avoids the takedown, and knock Randy's head off. it's just a matter of who does what they always do. an to the people saying"if Fedor couldn't finish crocop then how will couture?" no one is saying couture will FINISH Cro Cop, just that he will beait him. it'll be interesting to see how Cro cop does if the fight goes into the fifth round. he's never had a fight that long

Do you know how his Cardio is? I think the edge should go to Crocop because he is so donimate and he does have some of the best takedown D, but he also hasn't faced a wrestler that can shoot in like Couture can either. He faced Coleman who was strictly succesful as a Greco-Roman wrestler where as Couture was almost olympic at both Greco and Freestyle.

Actually, no. i have never seen him have a fight go that long. his longest and hardest fight was with Fedor and that was only 20. with longer breaks in between rounds i think. beleive me, 25 minutes is a lot longer than 20 when you're fighting that hard

I was reading through the pages when i came across this and had to stop and comment.The only reason you thin Pedro hit harder was because he beat Andrei and yes he does hit hard but come on cro cop is A K-1 FIGHTER WORLD CLASS AT THAT HIS SPEED AND POWER ARE WAY OVER BOTH FIGHTERS YOU MENTIONED.

Now im a vitor mark and a pedro mark and will always bet on them but even I (whose name used to be quick_handed_vitor and stone_handed_pedro on another board) so i must say Mirko is more powerful than Rizzo and Vitor. Crop cop and randy will have a great fight and im not even going to give my opinion on this as these are my top two fave fighters I will just sit back and enjoy every moment of this fight.

What a load of crap most are posting. Tim got beat because a non juicing Tim Sylvia fights like he's doing Tai Chi in a tar pit. Plants track the sunlight with greater speed. How to beat Tim was posted here for a looong time and behold it was correct. There's a few of us not surprised by what happened nor by who did it. Hate to break it to you guys but strength is the last to go with age and if your power to weight ratio is up there, you'll connect plenty fast. Randy has always had good cardio and maintained his training year round.

Also, Chuck's takedown defense is better than Mirko's? Opponents have a lot to do with being taken down in the first place and there is no way anyone can compare Chuck's opponent list to Mirko's. Not a chance. Mirko does not have to rely on the double underhooks and a big sprawl alone, not with his side to side movement.

In all the fights I've seen, more than a few have lost to themselves and their arrogance. Mirko's weakness has been in the past that he is so assured of himself and his kickboxing skills that he neglects his new skills and at times showed utter contempt for his opponent's skills. Show me the Cro Cop losses and I'll show you that in most he's leaving himself open or neglecting the low kick because he's too sure of his straight right and left high kick. His flash knockout by Kevin Randleman was the perfect example of Mirko coming in too relaxed, guard down and ego riding high. I think however, those days are gone.

mirko is a very agile striker... and he's very fast. People are starting to underestimate cro cop suddenly since couture won the title. Do you really think that cro cop will just throw a slow jab just like tim the whole fight? Couture might give cro cop a run for his money, but at the end of the night, cro cop is going to be your new ufc heavyweight champion and it wont go to a decision. Cro cop will take it by ko or tko, plain and simple.

Im glad that someone finally pointed out the speed of CC. Yes he is powerful, but man those kicks are fast! Not just his LHK. Did you see the welt that His body kick put on Wandy? I honestly feel that he has the best combination of speed and power in MMA today.

I was a huge Randy fan before he beat Tim (which made everyone in my house like him even more), and think he is one of the smarter, more likeable guys in MMA today, but planning can only do so much against someone that much better than you. CC is a better striker than Chuck and definetly has a better offense, whereas Chuck has gotten kind of lazy and lives to counter-punch (but hey, if it works...) Vitor had fast hands, but not precision strikes that carried power ( kind of like Wandy).
CC has been improving. His ground game looks better every time we see him. Also, there is a differerence between being a good (yes even Olympic alternate good) wrestler, and being great at a MMA ground game. People used to be able to crowd CC well and frustrate him, but since his second fight with Barnett, he seems to have fixed that as well.

I dont think its fair to say that someone has a glass chin because someone (not a striker) got a flash knockout. If you are going to declare CCs chin made of glass, then Coutures chin must be made out of a cheaper, thinner glass.

On the subject of women messing up a fighters life/ career, that is totally possible (Couture mentioning it months or years later makes you believe it. unlike some fighers who cant wait to get the mike and make excuses right after they lose).
So has anyone seen that documentary they did on Mark Kerr? I think that was a good example of how a bad woman/situation can mess up a figher.
