Doesn't it sort of make you laugh?

Isn't it kinda funny? If you go back and watch UFC 65 after Tim Sylvia beats Jeff Monson. We see Randy Couture interviewing Tim in the octagon and Randy is praising Tim's newfound skills on the ground and his triangle choke and north/south chokes and calling Tim a much improved fighter. And Tim is putting the UFC on notice that whoever steps into the octagon with him is gonna get their ass knocked out.
Would you have thought from watching that interview that the cheerful retired old man who is interviewing big Tim is going to be the guy who savagely mauls him, humiliates him, busts his face up and bloodys him, and takes his title in Tim's next defense? It's whacky!!!!!

Any situation that has Tim getting beat up makes me laugh. Matter of fact, any situation that has a member of MFS getting beat up makes me laugh.

Yes, I was thinking this exact thing this morning. I'm going to go back and watch that Sylvia/Monson fight and Randy's comments during/after the fight just for that "inside laugh" that we now have with 20/20 hindsight, of knowing that just several weeks after that, Randy would take Tim right off the map

yeah, me too, with the exception of pulver and horn. i like those guys even though they're both shells of who they used to be.
