An Experiment: Rebuilding Tim Sylvia's Career

So what does the most unpopular UFC heavyweight champion in history do next after losing to a beloved and previously retired fighter who's in his 40's? How far down the ladder does he fall in the rankings? Does he still have the drive to continue fighting? Is he flat out done?

Pretty much just for fun, how would you rebuild Tim's career? Who would be his first fight back? Would you move him to another training camp? Would you have him fight immedietly after UFC 68?

What would you do to rebuild this man's career?

he should put on some weight and fight in the freak division in pride

Give him an immediate rematch. And if he loses, feed him to CroCop then kick him out of the UFC.

Sounds good to me. He doesn't deserve an immediate rematch; IMO he'd need at least one impressive win to convince anyone he deserves another shot at that belt.

Otherwise, make him a HW gatekeeper.

here is what i would do, make him fight mirko then werdum then idk maybe hardonk or someone else that will level him, then he goes to pride where he can finally beat fedor lol, he fights fedor gets his head caved in, then he fights hunt and gets beat then big nog the barnett then a few others, now that would be awsome

he needs to fight someone his size, maybe zuluzhino or giant silva, or maybe we'll see him on the million dollar tough man competition against Kimo.

I think Herring could give Tim a Good Fight if not Knock out Tim. Good Match Up 4 Tim 2 rebound off his Lost cuz Herring a Big Guy w/ Good Hands. But i don't c Tim gettin the Title back anytime soon.

tim wont get the belt back, dana wont give him a rematch with randy, tim will have to beat mirko if he wants that belt and that wont happen, and seeing how the ufc is getting more hw tims chances are droping faster and faster, tim is at the bottom and wont make it back to the top, because i see if werdum beats aa he goes to fight the loser of the next championship fight, aa would be in line but if werdum looses then he fights tim and beats tim that would be awsome tim loose like 4 in a row and just get cut,

I agree, the UFC is going to avoid giving Tim an immediate rematch because they know that they can't sell Tim worth a damn. They will make him earn another title shot against the winner of Crocop-Randy.
