Just thought I would officially create a UFC Dick Rider thread since so many of you dissrespectful UFC knob gobblers had to create one after PRIDE 33 and drop your worthless 2 pennies about how the PRIDE fighters were overrated and that the upsets were factually just PRIDE fighters being "EXPOSED".

Well... How do them apples taste? Done rambling classic "I started watching the UFC yesterday and don't know what MMA is" opinions?

You should be. I'm sure all of you whom bashed PRIDE fighters after PRIDE 33 will not show your cowardly faces after the beating the "CHAMP" Tim Sylvia just took by a 43 year old man and the beating Babalu took by a fighter who showed very little technique and skill.

It's MMA, these upsets will continue to occur, the sport is only 13 years old and people will begin to put this into perspective.

Example - LT is the most dominant RB in the NFL, comparable of what Fedor is to MMA, however there are nights when the Fred Taylor's the Kevin Jones's, the Dominick Rhodes's are going to out rush LT and the reasoning for that is the defense LT is up against and the "STYLE" and "GAMEPLAN" in in which they execute. MMA is the same way, styles make fights, that is no big secret and with small gloves, all it takes is 1 punch (or kick, knee or elbow) and the fight is over therefore these top fighters must execute "FLAWLESSLY" or damn close to it each and every time they step into the Octagon or RIng and I hate to break it to you, that just isn't going to happen. With the continued evolution of the sport fighters know they will not be successful without a complete fight game meaning well rounded but not just "decent" or "good" at everything, they need to be "great" or "phenomenal" at everything and even then there are no gaurantees as on any given day a fighter with 1 aspect of MMA can overcome a well rounded fighter with decent, good, great and even phenomenal skills in every aspect of MMA.

Hopefully the half-witts that were bashing RPIDE 33 for the upsets and not appreciating the actual fights and those people that care more about announcers and production will snap out of their ignorance and start being MMA fans.

I only saw the main cards tonight and Randy was phenomenal!

Tim Sylvia as I have been saying forever is overrated and was finally exposed tonight, good riddence to him and a true class act he is by stating "he had an injury coming into the fight and didn't think it would effect his performance but it obviously did", yes an injury, nothing that some ice and an eye patch can't fix in a week and a half (the shred of respect I had for Sylvia which wasn't much given his constant bashings of other fighters who are obviously in a league far above his left tonight after that comment, man up and take your losses without excuses, you were dominated for 5 rounds by an olympic wrestler who outstruck you the entire fight and fought YOUR GAME).

Kampman as I already stated ws to be shark food for Bisping on UFN however Bisping was unable to get cleared due to VISA problems and Thales took Bisping's place and lost to Kampman... Sooooo how exactly was this Kampman guy on hte main card when he was being fed to Bisping before the VISA issues occured and Thales, a man with horrid standup looked decent on his feet until he gased yet Kampman could not finish the fight standing but he is supposedly a kickboxing champion? Yeah, I'm clueless as well.

Franklin dominated as I expected due to having wittnessed MacDonald's standup vs Leben and being dumbfounded by Rogan, MacDonald and the UFC hyping his striking? Very strange it was and he looked just like he did against Leben on his feet... out of place.

Hughes looked good and got back to what made him the most dominant champion in UFC history (along with Chuck) and that was takedowns and gnp, he looked solid against a gamer in Lytle who is difficult to finish and decently well rounded though obviouly nowhere near a world class level.

So all in all UFC dick riders, there were 4 top ranked fights and guess what, 50% of them lost so get over yourselves, it's MMA, learn to enjoy it as a SPORT not an organizational war, leave that to the promotions and you do your job as a fan and enjoy the fights.

It was done in a respectfull manner, I didn't just flame the favored fighters that were upset, I brought forth reasoning behind it and overall I think my post is very informative with a solid foundation for my explanations.

I agree with everything you have said. However, the title "UFC Dick Riders... Enter" might be taken by some as argumentative and this could degenerate into a flame war. I'm definitely on your side here, as I didn't consider Gomi, Wanderlei, or Nogueira "exposed" last weekend, and this is kind of sweet revenge...I'm just saying that this will probably heat up pretty quickly.

Well, we are all entitled to our opinions here right? Alright then, heres my opinion on the whole UFC/PRIDE deal. Some lean towards UFC, while others lean towards PRIDE. if anyone watches WWE around here, this is another classic tale of "WWE vs. WCW" whereas UFC would be WWE, having the majority of USA based fans, with the capability of stretching out its horizons and moving into bigger and bettere things. While Pride is WCW of the deal, starting off in a foreign country and trying to make their name big in another dogs territory. Fact of the matter is, its only a matter of time before Pride is slowly but surely picked apart, one fighter at a time and there will not be a "UFC vs. Pride" because most of the fighters like Cro Cop will have had sufficient time to transition his way in UFC and no one will look at him like "That tough Pride guy" because in all honesty, nobody really ever has their first ever professional fight in the UFC, so in reality the UFC is just a big melting pot of different talent from different organizations. I guarantee nobody agrees with me, and if I end up getting bashed on oh well, atleast Im man enough to take it but oh well, thats just the way I see it because Ive seen it happen before with WWE and it seems like we are headed down that same path between UFC vs. Pride

For the record: I completely agree with everything you have to say about UFC 68 and Pride 33, and it is very informative. I think you would capture more of an audience by being more objective, but you have to admit- you have it out for either the UFC as an org. or you have a problem with their fans.

In response to last weekend: there are always going to be an influx of Trolls encompassing any PPV. Eventually they will go away and the few that stay are the ones who actually care to talk about mma in general and not just the UFC.

I would also like to say that even the main event didn't save the ppv.

I would give it a C+ if the main event was boring and didn't deliver like it did I would have given it a D.
