I own a copy of the Pride FC game for the PS2, it's actually pretty fun, and very complex indeed, I think it was made by THQ, can't remember now though. The one thing that bothered me was that when you select a submission fighter, it doesn't have many variables, for instance when passing the guard, you can only go for one submission move.
Anyway, anothef feature for the game, I would suggest having Gomi actually put his hands up! as well as a BJ Penn cardio program...oh...wait a sec..all fighters would gass out for the 2nd round!

Yea, I'm sure a video game is the last thing on Prides mind right now.
Does anyone know if any fighting(MMA) games will come out for the Wii.?

I understand the facts, but they mean nothing, we are just fans letting THQ know that we want another Pride game. What's wrong with that.

Dude i'm afraid you've got to leave wonderland for a minute or two here. It's a nice idea in theory, but so is getting to see Chuck vs Wandy or Fedor vs Sylvia. Sadly it doesn't mean with 9000 emails that anything would be done. 9000 emails to a company like THQ would simply be 9000 peoples wasted time. I know a lot of people who work very high up in SCEE (Playstation and Sony) and work closely with all kinds of developers, they get this kind of thing on a daily basis, it's not even opened, it's just binned.
If you are really serious about it, THQ really aren't the right people to write to, i'll bet my house on the UFC having agreed a deal that prevents THQ releasing or developing other MMA games for a period of time. When there's that much money involved in things like this you can bet that the contracts are water tight, i've been involved in drawing up various contracts on a much smaller scale and even I would have put this into the clauses right away.

Personally, I would have sent an email to EA Sports. Not only because THQ has the license for UFC games now, but also because of what EA has done with games like the Fight Night series. They would be the perfect company to design the game, and would have a perfect reason to do so.....to compete with another company producing a video game of the same genre.

So now that Pride is a go, do you think that the new UFC game might have Pride Fighters, will THQ bring out a Pride FC game in the near future? I would only assume that THQ would do the Pride game as well. Wouldn't make sense to deal with another company.
It would be excellent if they based the UFC game on the UFC vs Pride event.

Probably not, but there have been rumblings that Nintendo is going to resurrect Punch-Out!!! for Wii. I hope they're true, I can maul anyone in Wii Boxing now so I had to move onto the other Wii Sports games.

I would pee my pants if the new UFC had Pride fighters. I mean, I don't know how it works exactly: a fighter may be contracted to Pride, but not their likeness. They may fight for Pride, but that doesn't necessarily mean their likeness cannot be used in another form... or does it? I have no clue. But since both UFC and Pride are owned by the same company, perhaps this idea isn't so far-fetched.
Hey, at least it'll give us the Wandy/Ortiz fight we may like to see, haha.
