Why is there so much hate for Dana?

True Dat. i think the dude is awesome, and he's not as disrespectful as a lot of people make him out to be. just cuz he bashes his cometition??? come on, that makes it interesting, he gives respect to pride, even though he wants all of their guys, and not to the other orgs because they deserve no aminstream cred, they are made up of mostly c class fighters and he knows it.He is also Responsible for MMA being mainstreamed in the states, give him some credit. plus, don't you think you would be a cocky SOB too if you were running one of the fastest growing businesses EVER???

Or just b/c they think he is a dick.

I personally like Dana White and appreciate all that he and the Fertitta brothers have done for mma here in the US

Like its been said before...yes, he's a shrewd business man, but thats a big reason why he's successful. He's no pushover and will tell you if he thinks something is full of shit. He's taken MMA and been a HUGE part of changing the media's idea of "human-cockfighting" and MMA being a brutal sport.

Yeah being a successful business man requires that you be shrewd. Look at the most successful business men: Donald Trump, Vince McMahon, Bill Gates, etc these guys are all cut throat in their business moves. The only difference is Dana doesn't try and act all proper and whatnot, Dana just acts like Dana.

I think its pride fans that dont like him, and for a reason, his promotion is kicking prides ass wether people like it or not. when he says "im gonna get the best fighter in the world" that translates to Im gonna kill pride by taking their main eventers, which hes currently doing and hopefully will countinue to do.

I really hate when people say he is a great busnessman. It certainly looks to be the case when you look at the success of the UFC but the way he conducts his interviews, he doesnt seem intelligent at all. He is a great promoter, but i would never say he is great or even a "shrewd" businessman. He tried to take credit for the rules that were already in place and whoever came up with the idea of launching the TUF series pretty much brought MMA into mainstream. I am sorry but there doesnt seem to be a single intelligent bone in his body. He acts very tough now because UFC is flying high and he is trying to live up to his own created hype of "not yout typical business man" persona. I personally dont like him very much because of his BS and some ridiculous things he says. But then, I guess al the promoters do that
