Default Noob question about medical suspensions.

I'm fairly new to MMA, so I was just wondering,

When a fighter is medically suspended, does this mean if he decides to fight he'll be fined? Are they allowed to fight if they're medically suspended but the doctors would just rather they didn't?

So from what I understand..Nick Diaz and Dan Henderson can't fight again for half a year?

The suspensions are normally the same for all fighters that the NSAC hands out. The fighter cannot fight until the date stated by the NSAC unless medically cleared by a Doctor. So if Hendo heals up faster than expected and the DR clears him before the date the NSAC stated then he can fight.

There is a general MMA questions thread at the very top of the thread listings that is stickied in the General MMA Forum for such 1 post answers that aren't discussions. please pay more attention.

The athletic commision hands out fighter suspensions if a fighter is ko'd/injured and in Diaz's case he suffered a broken bone in his face and to my knowledge Hendo suffered a broken hand.

They arn't allowed to fight in the state that have been suspended in, and most states observe other states suspentions. I don't think the NSAC would look to kindly upon a fighter that faught, even over seas while under medical suspention. It would be very heard for them to get a license to fight again in NV.
