Maybe japanese fans just like the sport and are so stuck up like the American audience.
Try enjoying all of the sport, not just the top fighters. There are alot more mid card fighters than main eventers out there. If you like MMA then you will watch it all, if you are a band wagon guy then you like the hype.

K-1 is a serious waste of talent. they do pay better then Shooto and Deep, and theres more recognition then for the guys in those shows, so i appreciate them giving more outlets for talented fighters
but their shows are just based on the fact that everyone in Japan will watch K-1, its on free TV there.
i love watching all of MMA. its what Hero's does with its talent that frustrates me. Hero's just uses marketing to sell everyone all sorts of crap. Giant Silva vs Akebono, Bob Sapp vs Akebono.
and all the talented fighters, like Genki Sudo, Kid Yamamoto, and JZ, are underutilized, they never fight good fighters. Kid, last years GP winner, just fought a guy who had never done MMA, isntead of this years winner, or a Sudo rematch, or Shaolin. they do freakshows and people buy into it, and they just waste talent.
plus, their PPVs dont reach America for months, so i have to watch that shit on the internet.
