Pride 33 PPV quality

Did anyone else notice that the audio was pretty bad during the interview portions of Pride 33? Also some of the camera's were kind of foggy looking. It wasnt horrible, but I think Pride needs to do some things different in their presentation to be succesful in the U.S. It took a while for the event to get started. They announced each fighter 3 different times before each fight. Also, who could understand a word of that opening statement? Please get some American ring announcers.
Criticism aside, I was happy with all the fights. Was a great card. And how about Nick Diaz, pulling out upset.

yeah i didnt get why they announced each fighter 3 times before each fight...I also couldnt tolerate that screaming bitch who announced every fighter.. i had to mute the TV every time a fighter entered the ring...but most of the fights were entertaining...hope to see henderson vs shogun next...

I thought the quality of the fights were great. One thing annoyed me the most was the post fight interviewer. Isnt he the head producer of Pride USA or something? He was F'ing horrible. He tried to be friendly with fighters and he had no idea how to conduct an interview and he looked very uncomfortable talking to the fighters afterwards. Otherwise, there were some great fights.

My review...

Video Quality - 7 / 10 (noticeable fuzziness and some poor camera choices)
Sound Quality - 5 / 10 (they had sound...that's about it...)
Presentation - 8 / 10 (Pride FC always does good hear)
Hype - 7 / 10 (They just don't know how to market their product)
Excitement - 8 / 10 (Half the fights were amazing, Half were Okay)

Overall - 8 / 10 (not an average) A good show overall. They just need to improve the audio/video side. Pride FC should also market their product more in the U.S.

Hype was horrible.
Excitement...the fights themselves I would have to give a 10/10...some amazing fights.

Only thing that bug'd me was the Camera angles, didnt get a good view of Nogs gettin KO'd or Wand

Nogs is acceptable cuz they did have a side view of it but man that had a bad one for Hendo

i found the ref was in the way alot and they couldnt cut to a better angle. was annoying...i kept saying get outta the fuckin way ref

Yea that's what I meant by video. LOL, if your not getting the angles you want, it kinda sucks.

That is what they do for EVERY one of thier events. They put on a huge show and a big stage so that it gets the fighters and fans more excited, PRIDE's presentation and opening ceremony is similar to the Olympics and that is what PRIDE is going for.

To make each event like the Olympics, that is why the production is so huge and that is why their camera angles are phenomenal. It is more than just entertainment for drunken fans, PRIDE shows have a surreal feel to them unlike any other promotion.

Does anyone like that lady? I hear everyone bitch about her. She must go over well with the Japanese audience, because I don't think I've heard a single person who likes her. I personally don't mind her so much, but I think I'm in a very small minority on that one.
