I think the problem with Forrest is that he's really a pocket puncher without the ko power of a Chuck Liddell. So its one of those things where he's always got a 50 50 shot of winning. It's just Jardine opened up his weakness (uppercuts).

But if Forrest loses to Machida, is he finishd? i dont think so, Franklin, Penn and Bonnar have all lost to Machida, he is a good fighter so i dont think a loss hurts Griffin, i think it's more of how he loses.

I'm sure Forrest asked for Tito after his last fight with Jardine. He probably begged but Dana wouldn't give it to him. So they give him Machida imo as a compromise. Forrest is a very proud fighter and prolly didn't want a can cause he wants to prove he belongs. These 2 should stand and bang for three rounds and be a great fight. I also believe Machida is a little overrated and wouldn't be surprised to see Forrest take this.

[quote=ronin]Its quite possible they are, the list is growing of fallen TUF stars Forrest,Boner Leben,Herman, and lutter looks like a bust.
?
Forrest is a "fallen" TUF star? He loses one fight against a damn good Keith Jardine(from TUF) and has a close battle with Tito Ortiz and he is all of a sudden done?
Bonnar I'll give you.
Leben was NEVER a TUF star. He will be remembered in 10 years as a journeyman. No biggie.
Herman is fine.
Lutter did well against Silva and showed he has some potential.
What about Sanchez, Florian, Evans, Koschek, Stevenson, and Nick Diaz?
Stop being foolish.

Anyone know how Machida's chin is? Forrest has taken some gnarly ground and pound between the Tito fight and the Jardine fight and he was never out.

It's hard to say he hasn't been in there with anyone to test it except for maybe Franklin but that was over so fast Franklin didn't get any good shots off.

I see Forrest getting KO'd in this fight again. He has never been good, he has gotten better but he is an unintelligent fighter. So many holes, the joy ride is over.

LOL, glad someone else noticed that haha!
Forrest has not had any notable wins in the UFC...2 decision wins over Bonnar, Submitted Mahood, and TKOd Sinosic...gimme a break! the only thing ill give him is heart alone. had Tito been healthy, he'd have finished him in the 1st round. Jardine pounded his ass! and Machida will ultimately do the same. they need to realize this, Forrest is done. send him to WEC if Zuffa still wants to keep him around...that's what they did with Riggs.

forrest was doing good against jardine, people get knocked out thats fighting, im not saying jardine wont beat forrest again but i dont end like that, forrest got rocked and jardine did what he should have is jumped on him and finished, jardine has power and leg kicks thats about all he has, chuck would finish him fast and i think tito could even take him down and finish him, but jardine does have power and thats what makes him fun to watch, but im sure since bonnar is coming back they will probally match those 2 up again to try to show it was a fluke, which i hope happens because i think bonnar beats him again
