Aoki's and its nto even close bro, Aoki is the best grappler at LW
Diaz is a bad ass for pullin a gogoplata, now you see why so many people are Nick fans regardless of the fact that hes a shit talker.. he was always a dangerous fighter (remembers all the threads about how Nick lost 3 fights in a row and is a can) If you dont lay on Nick for 3-5 rounds hes a serious threat to you..

Tough call. Aoki is a wizard on the ground. I liked Diaz's better though because he did it to the #1 LW fighter in the world. I'd love to see Diaz vs. Aoki in PRIDE though. Both guys normally fight at 167-170 but cut to LW in PRIDE. It would be a great match to have in the 2007 LWGP.

Aoki's is cleaner with even more flow and he does it on a regular basis.
Diaz was very impressive.
As for the laying on comments Afro. I will say that putting your weight on someone for a min or 2 is a tactic..it slow people down. I am not advocating LnP but if Matt Hughes or Sherk want to take you down and smother you for 2-3 mins that is a tactic and it worked.

Aoki is a better grappler, and if they fight, as soon as it hits the mat, Diaz will get fuckin' embarassed.
diaz is a great fighter who had a great sub, and i think his performance should earn him a damn stripe, or his black belt, but i dont think his grappling is as innovative or flowing as Aoki's
