No, but it was a vicious knockout. It's over on YouTube. People forget that for the first 4 rds, Morrison had Mercer's head snapping up and then snapping to the side from Tommy's devastating right uppercut/left hook combination. Ray Mercer, with perhaps the best chin in boxing, was probably the only guy in boxing who could take that combo again and again and NOT get knocked out or even knocked down! Morrison looked fantastic but he used to gas fast, and in rd 5, Mercer took it to him viciously. Morrison had a good record, only 3 losses in 50 fights (Mercer, Lennox Lewis, Bentt), 46 wins, 40 KO's. He got knocked down quite a few times but got up to win most of his fights. No shame losing to top guys like Mercer and Lewis. (Bentt though was second rate, and was hurt himself when he landed his own KO blow).

Don't forget Easy E too.
I hope Morrison can do good, he'll definitely be an attraction if he gets cleared to fight in places like Nevada, New Jersey, New York, or California. And for the record, I never knew he fought Lennox Lewis, I'm gonna have to check on Youtube or Daily Motion and try to gleam up that fight.

Robin Crosby...the lead guitarist from Ratt died of AIDS.
If he was taking HIV medication, it can beat back the virus to near undetectable levels. If he has been taking medication, I would make him stop taking for 6 months and then retest him.
Still...I don't think I would do it...it would just be playing on my brain for the entire fight. Nope....wouldn't do it...

Supposedly he's had 6 blood tests since December of 2005 (not sure if I have the year right), and they've all come up clean. But, as someone else posted, you can still have the HIV virus but not have it at detectable levels. Especially if you've got the money for medication.
The other thing that seems a little bit shady is that he's fighting in Virginia, which is one of the only states that does not require a blood sample before a fight. I don't mean to be a conspiracy theorist, and I admit that it may mean nothing, but it does seem a little weird.
That, and how desperate for a payday are you if you're willing to step into the ring and risk blood exposure with a man who has tested positive for HIV and you're fighting in a state that has no blood test requirements?

Virginia's also allowing Baby Joe Mesi to fight on the same card. He lost his boxing license for a couple of years due to a brain bleed. Mesi got his license back, but will continue to fight in places where the regulations aren't as strict.
