I hope Bas comes back out of retirement and kicks your ass again!!

While I agree w/ Bran, Frank was a little classless after the bout, I disagree heartily that Renzo won that first round with two takedowns and no offense from the top. Frank was the busier fighter both on the feet and from the bottom.
Also, has anyone ever consider that since Frank has only three fights since 2000 (two of them combining 4 a total of less than 2 minutes) he's not exactly up to snuff on keeping the old rules out of his game plan? It's an excuse, yes, but doesn't it hold some validity. He finishes Cesar in @40 secs. and Pardoe in @ a minute and a half: that's what constitutes his fights under the now sanctioned mma rules in the US, right?
That said, I don't think Renzo was faking it. He's a tough guy with too much pride to do that (I hope). I wish we could have seen the fight to it's conclusion.

Ummm...so the people that come from pride and have their first fight in UFC should be able to kick people on the ground, since they may be used to the Pride rules? No, I don't think so, and if you watch the fights for people that have made the recent transition, not one that I know of has done an illegal kick to a downed opponent. And none would use them not knowing the rules as an excuse.

I guess I'm alone in saying that Frank was a little bitch even when he was active. Kondo beat him. Bas beat him twice. He beat Jeremy Horn (LONG AGO), He barely beat Tito, Sinosic??? Who hasn't pounded him. I would be willing to say that Renzo's resume, while it includes losses to virtually a Who's who in MMA is better than Frank's because he always fought top guys, often guys A LOT bigger than him. At least he's never ducked anyone.

I disagree. I see fighters train in a style for most of their lives and then there is a rule change from one sanctioning body to another and in split second they react with an instinctual move. I have seen that at times in K-1, Pride, and UFC. They get warned and for most they make the change. But it does explain why it happens. I don't condone it as acceptable, but it does not make them idiots or jerks.

Frank has only been finished by Bas Rutten once. Their other two fights went to a decision, and Frank won one of them. He also beat Funaki and Minoru Suzuki, both of whom are on Kondo's level. In fact, Funaki's beaten Kondo. Yeah, he lost to Kondo and traded wins with Lober, but every fighter has off days.
As for Tito, BARELY beat him? Tito had the advantage throughout most of the fight due to strength and wrestling, but Frank was calmly defending himself every time Tito took him down. He knew he was gonna get tossed around by Tito for awhile and his aim was to wear Tito out while taking little damage. That's exactly what he did. The fight ended with Frank looking like he had plenty left in his gas tank, virtually slapping Tito on the back of the head. He won the fight convincingly.
Frank has wins over Tito, Bas, Suzuki, and Funaki. I'd easily put that over Carlos Newton or Pat Miletich. Hell, given the weight classes, I would put Frank's wins over Horn and Enson Inuoue above those wins vs. welterweights.
