Frank dodged a bullet? I didn't see it that way at all. Renzo was getting punished with kicks, punches, knees to the side. Renzo laid in the side mount, with a couple of attempts for position, but that was about it, IMO. The longer this fight went, the more Shamrock was going to wear out Renzo.
Yes, there was certainly the possibility of Renzo getting a decision win, or sneaking in a submission. Take a look at the fight again, up to the disqual. Yeah, Renzo had the takedowns, and was going to get the round, but Shamrock was doing all the damage.

That is the "cross promotional" fight that was announced earlier in the week.

I totally agree with you there. I usually like Runello, but he kept on telling story after story and embelishing things beyond belief. Without Bas at his side I'm not so sure I like him. Glazer did ok at playing the Joe Rogan" part, and did his best to mention his training with Renzo, ala Rogan. Goldberg should just stick with wrestling, his timing was awful. What was with the introductions of Jimmy Lennon? Each time they "passed the mic" to him Runello introduced him as "the Maestro of the Match", etc. What was that?

Fukuda vs. Gates (Loiseau was just a pathetic experience).
The internet feed of the early fights worked very well for me, once I got into the site. I have no idea how Periera got a 29-28 from one of hte judges in his fight. Should have been 29-28 Vasquez on all three cards.
Noons looked like he was going to beat up Crazy Horse before ending the fight. Noons JSUT missed with his right cross and Crazy Horse gets the big KO, gets to piss off the fans, and Showtime gets a heel that people will tune in to see lose.
I predicted the womens fight would steal the show, and it did. Carano came out of her fight as a TOUGH TOUGH fighter. Both women put on a great show.
Silva was MUCH quicker than the last two fights where I saw him. Tough guy, but who will he fight at Superheavyweight?
Villasenor's fight was nice for him, but there was only one fighter in the ring. Loiseau is done.
Shamrock Gracie was SO disappointing. Didn't Renzo fight in Pride? Those were the first knees he ever took? If I am wrong, and he does indeed have a serious injury, I apologize, but I saw a fighter taking a powder out of convenience. It looked like a bad wrestling finish. Renzo looked, to me, to be clearly playing it up. Shamrock had really worked him pretty hard, and Renzo had no answer on the ground. He looked to be happy to find a convenient way out. His whole " I can't even stand up 3 minutes later" rang so phoney. Guys get knocked out cold and are up standing faster than him. HE has taken bigger knees and got up. I am going to be venting over this the rest of the weekend.
As for the show itself. REALLY good mic'ing of the ring. You could hear the punches and kicks very well. Crowd was nearly non existent. I heard open mic's, secondary conversation, etc. 7-8 times, which was silly. The announcing was passable, but Mario Runello was MUCH more irratating than his Pride days somehow. His non stop screaming and faux story telling drove me nuts.

I think overall it was a fairly good show for their first time. The women's match was awsome(first time seeing a women's match) but yea the main event finish was VERY dissappointing. I would deff. watch them again which BTW does anyone know when the next one is if there is going to be a next one?

I think they did a great job entertaining fights besides the Crow and great production...Get rid of Goldberg he seems to biased in his commentating....What is with that last name??? And its not there fault the Gracie Frank Fight ended the way it did all in all great start for the fledgling.

GReat Times IMO. The girl fight was impressive as hell(both girls showed mad heart). Noons v. Crrazy Horse was suprisingly good. Silva looked really good for a 290 lbs guy for sure. Shamrock was...well Shamrock. I dont know if Renzo was playing it up or not. I think it was partly that, and partly the fact that he got hit really hard and wasn't feeling the get hit again theory.
